Non-British nationals make up 12% of the healthcare workforce in the UK and are a vital part of UK public services due to the positive impact they have. Migrant workers contribute to a larger, more flexible labour force, using their skills to carry out essential work such as care work.


Immigrants to the UK are more likely to be of working age. The majority of migrants come to the UK for work or study.
